Far away, across the sea, there lived a silly cat. Every day she fished, then ate, then put on a pink hat. One day she was out fishing, in a boat on the bay, when the wind picked up her hat and carried it away. It fell on a sea gull's back, as it flew to the shore. Bert's pink hat then disappeared; the bird she saw no more. A week later, Bert awoke, and there before her eyes, was the little white sea gull she'd seen up in the skies. She'd come to return the hat she'd found above the bay. Bert's pink hat was home again, this time, 'twas there to stay.
